Our Site Got A Makeover!

Updated: Mar 3, 2020

In 2007 Dr. Novian obtained his licensure, wrote and defended his dissertation on "Sprituality and Caregivers of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias," met his wife, and graduated with his Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy.

In 2008, Novian Counseling & Consulting opened it's doors for the first time, with business cards and flyers... but no website. Our first website was launched almost 2 months after our business opened. It was a 3 page site (home, about me, and contact me) that we later found out wasn't even visible on Google... or any other search engine... oops! Six months later, we built our second version. It was much better, but still very simple. At least it could finally be found!

We didn't make another big change until 2010, when we hired a company to build us a site in celebration of our new, improved office and the addition of Kate to the practice. However, the company didn't understand the needs of a therapist site and made it very overwhelming and hard to read. There were galaxies and dramatic animations involved... we never even launched it. That's when Kate decided that she needed to do it herself, from scratch, and she launched it on December 12, 2011 while recovering from cancer.

In 2013 we changed names to iCNS (integrative Counseling & Neurofeedback Solutions) and switched over to our existing platform and we've been really happy with it. It has gone through three big revisions (about every 2 years) adding features like this Blog, information about what Neurofeedback is, and embedded media. People have come to work with us for a while, and then moved on to bigger and better things.

Well, it's 2017, and we've gone through even more changes, including Dr. Novian's teaching engagement at St. Mary's University. It's also time to revamp again, and we've done just that.

Welcome to our new website: version 8. The major upgrade (in addition to a new, sleek user interface) is the addition of Bookings. Now, you can add, and re-schedule, appointments online. Our cancellation policy is still in force, so if you are within 24 hours of your appointment time you will not be able to change or delete appointments, but if something comes up you can always call us at (210)415-2542. So check out our new website interface and let us know what you think in the comments below.

The URL hasn't changed, it's still www.icnssa.com
