Neurofeedback
The qEEG is a 2 session process.
Session 1 (2 hours)
We will record your brain activity with your eyes open and then with your eyes closed. Your hair will get messy because we have to put gel on each sensor.
Session 2 (1.5 hours)
After I compare your brain activity to a normative database, I will bring you back in to review the results and explain what I find.
Brainmapping (qEEG)
Neurofeedback is a 20-40 session process, depending on several factors.
We record your brain's electrical activity in a target area, set expectations for better behavior in the computer, and you are rewarded for improved behavior when the game or movie you're watching works, and you hear a repeated tone.
I am present and engaged in the therapy process the whole session. I do not use technicians, and I do not leave you alone to train.

Articles
Counseling services are billed hourly and session counts vary widely. This is a very individualized process.
Individual Services
Individual "talk" therapy is one-on-one counseling, done in-office or through teletherapy. I use a variety of theories, as appropriate for each client, and keeping their care as my priority. I most often take a mind-body-spirit perspective, because we are not just one or the other.
Couples & Marriage Therapy
My doctorate is in marriage and family therapy, and I certainly work with couples in that capacity, but I see couples who are in any committed relationship. Communication, recovering from infidelity, and managing a marriage with Anxiety and ADHD are some of my most common

My initial consultation is 2 hours.
Why is it 2 hours?
I need to ensure that we are a good fit, which means discussing your identified reasons for seeking counseling. However, I do not want to send you out of the session with every raw nerve exposed, especially without having obtained any useful knowledge or tools. I do want you to be fully heard, and answer any questions you may have about our relationship and my services.
We will also use part of this time to set therapeutic goals and discuss how we will move forward in reaching those goals.
