Tutoring Now Offered via Skype
Updated: Mar 3, 2020
While we do not offer counseling via Skype due to HIPAA compliance and confidentiality issues (We use Doxy.me for telehealth because it is secure and HIPAA compliant), I am really pleased to announce tutoring services with Kate Novian via Skype by appointment! I am a former teacher and the Director of Neuroeducation here at iCNS. I have taught everything from Kinder-12th grade, in both private and public schools, and I have tutored students privately for more than ten years.
What subjects do you tutor?
I offer tutoring in the following areas:
6-8th grade Mathematics
SAT/ACT/TSI test preparation
Why offer online tutoring?
I know that it is often difficult for students to come to my office, and sometimes do not know they need help until they arrive home and begin their work. It is always advisable to meet me in person at least once, but I do understand travel constraints. I like working via Skype, because it allows me to share my screen and work collaboratively with my students in a way I cannot do over the phone or FaceTime. Sharing my screen means that I can use several programs to demonstrate the lesson being taught in an appropriate and hands on way.
How do I set up an appointment?
The best way to set up an appointment is by phone at (210)415-2542. You can also contact me via Skype during business hours. If you are looking for an appointment more than 24 hours ahead, you can also contact me via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do you handle payment?
I require that an adult provide payment via credit card at the beginning of a Skype session unless previous arrangements have been made. If regular appointments are to be set up, then packages of appointments can be purchased ahead of time for your convenience. Sessions are $45 per hour.
