Step 1: Site Review and Consult

Determining Project Scope

The first step in the Web Design Process is to determine the scope of your project.  Your project will be unique to your needs.  In order to plan and budget, we need to know the following things:

SIZE OF YOUR SITE

Most single practitioners only need a small site, including:

  • Homepage

  • About Me

  • Services

  • Contact Page

  • Privacy Policy

  • SEO (search engine optimization)

However, larger practices may need to add other pages and features, such as:

  • Individual Staff Profiles

  • Billing Features or Store

  • Scheduling Pages

  • Blog with content pre-loaded

  • Social Media Integration

  • Staff Login pages for News and Alerts

Extra Features and Services

Other features, which can apply to either a single practitioner or group site may include:

  • Multimedia Features, such as video introductions or animated galleries

  • Interactive elements

  • Premium services, including newsletter designs and integration

Extra Services, or Ongoing Services that may be added to your site include:

  • Ongoing content creation for Blogs (1-8 blog posts per month)

  • Ongoing content creation for Social Media (1-8 unique posts per month)

  • Periodic SEO updates (every 3 or 6 months) to improve your search engine rankings

Determining Budget

No website is one-size-fits-all, and no budget is, either.  Your budget will have a big influence on how much you can do with your website.  I charge a standard fee for a site review and 1 hour Skype or Go-To-Meeting consult.  After that, your budget will be determined by your contract.
