Copy of Yes, we are STILL OPEN
iCNS is OPEN and will continue to remain open. According to the mayor's Emergency Order #5 (Declaration of Public Health Emergency Regarding Covid-19 ) , commonly called "Stay Home, Work Safe," Exhibit 1, Section 2b, Exempted Businesss include "...mental health providers, substance abuse providers." What this means for you is that iCNS will remain open and operating as normal. We understand the concerns regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, and we are taking measures to protect our clients and ourselves, but providing access to mental health care for all our clients during this period of heightened stress and isolation is ESSENTIAL. Please reach out to us if you would like a consultation with Dr. Novian, even if you have not come to see us in a while. We'll find a time for you if at all possible.
For Neurofeedback clients, both Dr. Novian and Omar Husain, MA, LPC-Intern are seeing clients onsite. We are taking precautions, including wearing masks, elevated cleaning practices (we have always followed high sanitation practices, and this is no different), and washing hands before each client. We ask that our clients wash their hands prior to entering the office suite. If you are uncomfortable sitting in the waiting room, we completely understand. Please feel free to wait in your car and call Kate to let her know you are present. When Dr. Novian is ready for you she will let you into the building so you can come straight in without waiting.
For Talk Therapy clients, Dr. Novian is still available to you via telehealth (video chat sessions). Dr. Novian is certified in telemental health, and we have a HIPAA compliant telehealth portal for you to use. While this doesn't work for neurofeedback it is a very useful way to conduct a therapy session, and we are happy to provide it. Kate will be sending out login information and directions, and will be on-call to help with technical support if needed.
