Meet KAte Novian
Director of Neuroeducation
If you are a client of iCNS, you will know "Miss Kate" mostly as the front office manager. However, she does much more than just answer phones and handle the billing. Kate is responsible for all of the technology in the office, and is actually trained in neurofeedback herself (although she does not see clients)!
Kate is a former classroom teacher and she is responsible, as the Director of Neuroeducation, for explaining Neurofeedback both in the office and through presentations around San Antonio! If you have any questions about biofeedback or neurofeedback, she can probably answer them, and if she doesn't know the answer she can find it for you. If you're interested in having Kate speak at your organization, she is happy to do that as well! We know neurofeedback and biofeedback are not well-understood, and there are lots of questions about how neurofeedback is used as a clinical tool, especially because many people are confused about the difference between neurofeedback and "cognitive training games." Kate does a great job at explaining the difference and introducing people to the powerfu tools available to us in the office.
Kate has a BA in English and a head for technology. She builds and maintains websites on top of her work at the office, and is very active in the community. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Stone Oak Rotary Club and is the volunteer Web-designer/Webmaster for the International Society of Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR). Kate lends her technology skills and work background to help Dr. Novian prepare for his second job as Adjunct Faculty at St. Mary's University as well.
Kate is your primary contact between visits, and will take care of scheduling, billing, and paperwork questions. She also takes an active interest in all or our clients and enjoys getting to know them and making them at home in our office.
